I chose to name my practice Harbour Therapy to continue to reflect the values at the heart of the yoga studio I set up and ran before working as a therapist. Harbour Yoga was a special space for people to gather and practice together. Many students loved Harbour for the sense of acceptance and connection they felt when there. I originally chose to name my studio Harbour Yoga as a harbour is a place of refuge, a shelter from the storm and a place to replenish, mend and renew before heading out on the next adventure. Evolving into Harbour Therapy acknowledged and honoured an incredibly important part of my history and also offered a perfect metaphor for the therapeutic relationship and the work we do together.
